I am an artist who inhale the air of cultural diversity and stimulations between Japan, Öland and New York. Yet, my Japanese inheritance is most deeply rooted.
In my design, positive and negative forms coexist in harmony, and the beauty of the material themselves are simply kept at what they are.
My practice with Japanese tradition of Shinto philosophy recognizes that all natural objects have spiritual souls (life force), and Zen Buddhism teaches the beauty in simplicity and equality of the visible and invisible.
Closeness to the nature is always part of me, and my fascination for nature's life-force motivates my creation. I reflect these sources into my work.
I hope you can find as much pleasure in wearing my jewelries as I create them.
